If you purchase any traditional drum scanner you will need to hire a trained scanner operator. These scanners require mounting techniques and drum scanner knowledge in order to achieve repro-quality scans. With Imacon's FlexTight scanners you can avoid time-consuming mounting techniques and introducing foreign matters such as glass, gel and anti-newton sprays. The Imacon takes your easily mounted images and passes them through the light source, resulting in improved detail, sharpness and a higher quality image, quickly and easily. The FlexTight scanners handle multiple format originals with ease. There is no oiling, no newton rings, and no clean-up after. It handles from 35mm single frame to strip, 60mm single to panoramic, 5"x7" and reflective up to over size A4. It takes only a second to mount your images with the built-in light table. No tape or other supplies need to be purchased.
FlexTight scanners can scan about 30MB per minute for 16-bit scanning, providing your system has all the optimum settings. If you are scanning in 24-bit mode, you can get an average of 12 scans each hour. Now you can do everything in your own studio.
